It’s hard to believe I am here at my computer writing my first blog post.
I have never thought of myself as a writer and have had to work through a lot of fear to get where I am right now.
In the past, thoughts like “what do I have to say that people will want to read about?” have stopped me from writing a blog post.
I also have never thought of myself as an “expert” on any one thing and felt the knowledge I did have wasn’t worth sharing. I am happy to say that with a lot of help from my friend and mentor, Lesly Federici, I am here today writing my very first blog post for my new website.
I have no idea how often I will write and what I will end up writing about but I hope that I will find content that will be interesting and useful to my readers. Maybe someone will stumble upon my blog who might have some of the same feelings I used to have about not feeling good enough to write a blog post and they will get inspired to finally start a blog of their own. That would be awesome!
I have always thought of myself as a risk taker so I guess that’s why I was willing to take Lesly’s advice and put myself out there. I am someone who will try anything once(most anything that is!) and so this is my attempt at blogging and we shall see what comes of it in the days and months ahead.
I am excited now to think of things that I can share with you that might help to bring greater health and happiness into your lives.
Life is short, and I learned at an early age how precious life really is when I lost my older brother at the age of 12. Getting over my brother Kenny’s death was the most difficult challenge I have ever had to overcome in my life and it is why I have always resonated with Mary Oliver’s quote “what are you going to do with your one wild and precious life?”
I never take life for granted and I try to get the most out of life that I can. Just ask my son Jaz! He will tell you that whenever we go on a trip I pack as much as I can into every day of our vacation!
I look forward to sharing my enthusiasm for life and some of the adventures in my life with you and hope that my words will positively affect your “one wild and precious life” in some way.
Thank you, Kristofer. I am glad you enjoyed it!
